OUT2GETHER TRAINING
Since 2018 we have been working closely with the Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire Training Team to develop and deliver ‘LGBT+ Awareness’ training sessions for people who work with older people in care settings, both residential and domiciliary.
We have a team of Out2gether volunteers that attend the training sessions and add value by sharing some of their own lived experiences, and hopes and fears about getting older. Some of the training has taken place in the Age UK offices and some on-site in residential care homes.
With this valuable experience as well as our own in-house expertise we have developed our own Out2gether training package suitable for a wide range of organisations. We are now in the position to deliver (online or in-person) the following:
LGBT+ Awareness Training
LGBT+ Allies Training
Training content can be tailored to address the requirements of the organisation. The training includes presentation and interactive sessions, discussion points and a chance to hear personal experiences from our volunteers from the LGBT+ community.
We believe our training sessions offer a positive experience with valuable insights for those attending and we can supply testimonials to this effect. We ask for a donation to cover our costs in preparing and delivering training, including a contribution to the ongoing running costs of Out2gether.
